RV Roof Repair & Coating FAQ

Clear answers about mobile RV roof repair, seamless coatings, rooftop equipment, curing time and warranties.

Questions RV Owners Ask Us

Do you remove solar panels?

No. It is not necessary to remove solar panels for our roof-coating service. We carefully prepare and apply the coating around the panels and their mounting points. If the customer chooses to have the panels removed, they must arrange for a licensed solar technician to remove and reinstall them. Coastal Care Detail is not responsible for the removal, reinstallation, operation or damage associated with the solar panels or solar system. These responsibilities are also covered in the signed disclosure agreement.

Do you reinstall vent covers the same day after application?

Yes, when curing time and conditions allow. Our goal is to reinstall vent covers the same day. Weather, temperature and product curing can affect timing. The final process and timing are governed by the signed disclosure agreement for your project.

Do you repair RV air-conditioning systems?

No. We do not diagnose or repair RV air-conditioning systems. We do remove and reinstall roof vents and skylights when required for the roof work, subject to project conditions and the signed disclosure agreement.

What types of RV roofs do you service?

We service common RV roof surfaces, including existing EPDM, TPO and fiberglass roofs. We do not install new EPDM or TPO roofing membranes. Our system uses a professional-grade, 100% silicone roof coating to create a seamless, durable protective surface. We inspect the existing roof first and complete any necessary repairs before applying the coating.

Can you apply a coating over wet or rotted wood?

No. Wet, soft or rotted decking must be removed and repaired first. Coating over damaged material does not restore the structure underneath.

Do you come to the RV?

Yes. Coastal Care Detail provides mobile RV roof repair and seamless roof-coating services across New England within our travel area.

Can you work at a campground or storage facility?

Possibly, as long as the property owner or manager allows the work and the location provides safe, suitable access. Confirm permission with the property before scheduling.

What determines the final price?

Price depends on the roof’s size and condition, the amount of hidden damage, the repairs required, access to the RV and the rooftop equipment involved. We provide a quote based on the actual project.

What does the 50-year warranty cover?

The roof-coating product includes a 50-year manufacturer warranty. Coverage is provided by the manufacturer and remains subject to its eligibility requirements, terms, conditions and exclusions.

Can weather affect the schedule?

Yes. Rain, temperature and humidity can affect preparation, application and curing. Work or reassembly may be delayed when conditions do not allow the materials to cure correctly.
